FAQ

1. What is the main difference between a Supermarket Director and a Hypermarket Director?

The difference lies primarily in the sales floor area, the number of employees, and the complexity of operations. A supermarket (generally under 2,500 m²) focuses mainly on food retail with a lean team (20 to 50 staff), whereas a hypermarket (over 2,500 m² and up to 15,000 m²) manages a vast non-food selection (General Merchandise, Apparel, Electronics) and can employ between 100 and over 400 workers.

2. What are the working hours and constraints of a Store Director?

It is a job with a very high workload. The Director is present very early in the morning (from store opening or goods reception) and sometimes late in the evening or on weekends (Saturdays, and authorized Sunday openings). They must remain reachable for emergencies (alarms, health inspections, audits).
