Why take a skills assessment?

The skills assessment referred to in 2° of Article L. 6313-1 of the French Labor Code falls into the category of training actions contributing to skills development. The purpose of skills assessments as defined in article R. 6313-4 of the French Labor Code is to enable workers to analyze their professional and personal skills, as well as their aptitudes and motivations, in order to define a professional project and, where appropriate, a training project.

.

Terms and conditions

The objectives:

Analyzing skills : The assessment enables the beneficiary to evaluate his or her professional and personal skills, aptitudes and motivations. The aim is to gain a better understanding of their assets so that they can be better mobilized in their professional project.

Defining a professional project : The assessment aims to develop or confirm a professional project in line with skills, aspirations, and the realities of the job market. It can also help you consider career development or retraining.

Identifying training needs : The assessment helps to identify any training or validation of acquired experience (VAE) needs required to implement the professional project.

Elaborate an action plan : The beneficiary emerges with a concrete, detailed action plan, including the steps required to realize his or her professional project, whether through training, job evolution or retraining.

Taking a step back and making the most of what you've learned : The assessment helps to put your career path into perspective, enhance the value of past experience and gain a better understanding of your resources, by becoming aware of skills that are sometimes forgotten or underestimated.

Foster informed decision-making : The assessment provides a framework for reflection that enables the beneficiary to make informed decisions about his or her professional future, taking into account the opportunities and constraints of the job market.

The conditions for terminating the skills assessment:

The beneficiary attests to the voluntary nature of his or her approach. He/she undertakes to provide all information required for the effective implementation of the skills assessment. The skills assessment results in the drafting of a summary document with a view to defining or confirming a professional project, and where applicable, a training project.

The service provider is required to inform the beneficiary of the material and human resources available for carrying out the skills assessment. It undertakes to offer a service that complies with the provisions of articles R.6313-4 to R.6313-8 of the French Labor Code.

The prerequisites:

Entry level: no specific level.

Intake procedure: intake interview prior to starting the assessment.

For whom:

Anyone who wants to think about their professional career.

Methods used:

The program alternates theory and practice, integrating concrete cases, a participative approach, as well as role-playing and role-playing.

Total duration of training:

24 h 00 over a period of 12 to 16 weeks. The duration of the skills assessment includes the 3 phases: preliminary, investigation and conclusion, as well as individual work time.

  • Frequency of appointments: weekly.
  • Interview duration: from 1 h 30 to 3 h 00.
  • 9 interviews, face-to-face or by videoconference.
  • Number of face-to-face hours: 18 hours.
  • Estimated number of hours of individual work: 6 hours.

The duration of the assessment and the rhythm of the interviews are defined according to the objectives of the assessment and the problems of the beneficiary during the interview prior to carrying out the assessment.

Evaluation:

Individualized follow-up:

A summary exercise is offered to the beneficiary at the end of each teaching sequence. The consultant assesses the candidate's level of appropriation of the content of the sequence and notes the results of her assessment in the form of comments on the individual training protocol, in agreement with the beneficiary and if appropriate. Where appropriate, the consultant returns to the elements of the teaching sequence(s) that have not been assimilated.

Transmission of the summary document:

The summary document is given exclusively to the beneficiary of the skills assessment in person or by dematerialized means.

Modality and timeframe for accessing training:

Individual training: A meeting is set up prior to the service to explain the skills assessment process. A schedule is then drawn up during the intake session. The intake interview is a mandatory step in tailoring the skills assessment to the needs and objectives of the beneficiary. This interview enables us to adapt the pace, tools and methodology used throughout the course

After an initial telephone contact, we undertake to offer an initial intake interview (free of charge and with no obligation) no later than one week after the initial telephone contact. The service begins once financing has been approved, at the end of the withdrawal period stipulated in the GTC.
