What led you to become an entrepreneur and managing partner of the Alphéa Conseil network?

I was born in northern France into a simple, loving family, withvalues of hard work, transparency and honesty. Very quickly, after business school, I switched to mass retailing, where I went through all the stages.
Then, I came quite naturally to entrepreneurship. At 40, I was carrying the values of my company, but I wasn't carrying my values anymore. And at that age, I had the maturity to do things on my own with the idea of creating my business according to my values and vision. That's how I came to become an entrepreneur.

Why did you decide to join the Alphéa Conseil network?

Alphéa Conseil is a recruitment and corporate strategy consultancy that I've known for a very long time since I used to work with them. Alphéa Conseil knew how to say no to me and advise me with a certain proximity. And I always had the same person in front of me.
The day I became interested in entrepreneurship, Ludovic D'Hooghe, who was part of my network, proposed the project to me, giving me the opportunity to visit all the agencies in France, who opened up all their results to me. And that's no mean feat.
I quickly realized that this was something that would appeal to me because our job is to support entrepreneurs and understand what they do, by having a relationship of proximity, regular and sincere.


What do you like about the Alphéa Conseil network?

What I like is the fact that we're an extremely close-knit network. It's the closeness we can have with Ludovic and Rachida. That's important to me. I have relationships with all the managers. We build and co-build the company. I'm an independent boss who has a say in the brand's development. And I don't know of any other network that allows for real action like this.


What's important to you in running your business?

What's important to me is transparency. We make mistakes, I don't know anyone who doesn't. The only thing that matters is transparency. The only thing that counts is being aware of it and not wanting to hide things, taking responsibility for them. Action is also important. Action brings composure. And our job is to always have composure and objectivity.


Are the values shared at Alphéa Conseil important to you?

Values are very important to me, because they match me.I manage and run my teams with the values that are mine. And that's important!

Today, you own three Alphéa Conseil practices. What motivates you to open new ones?

We're not going to lie about profitability. It's not a dirty word. The second thing that interests me is sharing values. What I propose to all the people who join me is to have shares in the company with the possibility for them to eventually buy out their practice.
What's in it for me? Today, my value is sharing, sharing wealth. That's important to me. Someone who works must earn a good living.
Second point: today, I take all the risks for the people who join me. I allow them to become their own boss within 3, 4 or 5 years. That's a real commitment I'm making.


What would you say to an entrepreneur who wants to join Alphéa Conseil?

I'll tell him that by joining Alphéa Conseil, he would be making a commitment to life, to freedom, to profitability, that you can only know when you live it. I'll tell him, come live free and happy without worrying about the future because the future, we can build it financially if we do things right.

The job market in Greater Aquitaine

What about the job market in the Grande-Aquitaine region?

The job market is progressing on the executive market with 2-digit growth. The region Grande Aquitaine is one of the Top 10 regions with the lowest unemployment rate in France. Today, the market is changing and strong.

What are the region's major business sectors?

So, the market is difficult to determine in such a basic way. Today, we're on all the markets. L'IT is progressing strongly and evolving very fast. The industrial market is also very dynamic in relation to high turnover. The market for retail and large distribution is on the move. Some large groups are struggling while small and medium-sized groups are taking market share.


What jobs are most in demand?

We have two segments. The first is executive recruitment, where there's a real game of musical chairs. We mainly recruit HRD, general managers, operations managers and sales managers.
The second segment, that of Alphéa Conseil, we recruit primarily for commercial, engineering, technical, management and healthcare positions. In the medical sector in which we have an appetite, we recruit nurses, occupational physicians and dentists in particular.

Alphéa Conseil in Grande Aquitaine: a unique, personalized approach


What are your areas of expertise?

My area of expertise is above all retail, industry and the service sector. We also have the medical. We also have a real branch on wine and viticulture. And we've developed the aeronautics industry.


What do you call a unique, personalized approach?

Unique, personalized approach means two things. First, it means listening. You can't have a unique and personalized approach if you don't understand. As an Alphéa Conseil executive, we have experience, active listening and a 360° vision between recruitment, training and support for the entrepreneur.
The unique approach then comes down to proximity. For example, I once spent an evening until 11pm in a chocolate factory to understand how the business worked. For me, that's what makes it unique. It's immersion. And above all, you don't take things lightly.


Tell us a little about your teams

Completely! I can tell you about Roxane, 24, who has just been appointed branch manager in Bordeaux. She's been working with me for 4 years. Roxane is an unfailing pugnacity.
Next, I'll tell you about Gaëlle. She was born in Angoulême. She knows the market better than anyone. She knows all the companies. She's a market professional.
I'm also going to tell you about Margaux, a former occupational psychologist, who accepted the challenge of opening in La Rochelle.
I'm going to tell you aboutMarion and Eliot, who are, thanks to our methodologies, two nuggets we recruited last year. In a very short space of time, they have performed incredibly well. I'm proud of their results.
Beyond that, I'd like to tell you about the almost 30 employees at Alphéa Conseil Nouvelle Aquitaine because I can't name everyone. These are peoplecommitted, whom you can reach at any time. They'll always have an answer.


How do you federate your teams and animate them on a daily basis?

Through my experience, I've been able to create the conditions for smooth operation. And above all, we achieve this through a methodology.
Every Monday morning, each employee makes a commitment, in front of all his or her colleagues, about his or her objectives for the week and what he or she is going to do. Each employee is a "intrapreneur". With us, there are no schedules. The only thing that counts is committing on Monday morning.
