Who's hiring in 2011 - Over 50,000 vacancies!

Predictions are optimistic for this new yearée... Here are a few multinationals that will have major needs this year,  needs certainly confirmedés in hiring veryèquickly. Here's a summary of this projection by Le journal du net. A quality surveyé and very useful in this période of active research at the end of the yearée.

Groupe Accord: Over 3,000 new hires in 2011

Mercure, Novotel and Ibis... You may not know it, but all these chains are part of the same hotel group, Accor. Today, this French giantéais one of the biggest players in the sector worldwide. With over 1,160,400 hotels in France, the group is by far the most active employer in the hospitality sector. A total of 3,160,000 new hires are expected in 2011. Of these, the vast majorityéare non-managerial staff, since the group favorséinternal promotion to meet àits management needs. This "professional staircase" may open the door to interesting careersèfor profiles with few diplomasémés.


Air Liquide: More than 350 recruitments in prévision

The world leader in gases for industry, healthé and the environment is present in 75 countries with 42 300 employees. This year, the number of new hires in France will fluctuate between 350 and 400 depending on the éevolution of the IT market. The Group plans to recruit the same number of managers as in previous years à i.e. 40% of engineers and managers  (i.e. nearly 150 employees) and 60% of non-managers, more than half of whom have a 2-year higher education qualification. Part of this recruitment is aimed at young graduatesémés, who account for nearly two-thirds of executive hires. Profiles soughtés : 40% engineers and managers


Alcatel - Lucent: 200 recruitments this yearée

Alcatel-Lucent is a leading provider of fixed, mobile and converged broadband networks, IP services and applications, with operations in no fewer than 130 countries and sales of 15.2 billion euros in 2009. In France, the group employs 10,160,000 people, 25% of whom are women. To this end, the recruitment of almost 200 employees has ébeenéplanned for 2011. Unsurprisingly, given the Groupés activity, the profiles selected will mainly be engineers. It should be noted that the Group has recently signedé an agreement on éprofessional equalityé between men and women in France. Profiles soughtés: a majorityé of engineers.


Alstom: 550 recruitments in 2011

In 2011, Alstom, one of the world leaders in rail transport infrastructure, power generation and transmission, plans to recruit 300 managers out of a total of 550 new hires. These managers will comprise à 70% engineers, with the remaining 30% divided between sales, finance and administrative functions. In terms of experience, the allocation of future managers is between 25% experienced and 75% experienced. The most sought-after positions or functions are site managers, engineering project managers, civil engineering engineers and buyers. Profiles soughtés: 75% expérimentés.


Axa: 2 300 recruitments in 2011

Axa France continues to recruit for 2011. The French insurance heavyweight needs to replace some of its 35 000 employees and meet the expectations of its 9 million customers. Recruitment trends are the same as last year. In France, the Groupés recruitment forecasts are for 2,300 employees, including 400 managers. A wave of new hires designed to épérennize the group's development.  Profiles soughtés : 400 executives


BNP Paribas: 3 300 recruitments in 2011

BNP Paribas has established itself in recent years as a European leader in banking and financial services. With a particularly détailédévelopedée bank, the group possesseséone of the largest international networks. It is present in 84 countries and has 202 500 employees à worldwide, including 159 600 in Europe. In France, the company is not to be outdone this year, and is planning to recruit at équivalent levels to à 2010. Thus, nearly 3è300 people on permanent contracts are expected to join the group by the end of 2011.


Bouygues: 5 000 recruitments in 2011

Présent in over 80 countries, the Bouygues group is a multi-businességroup. Its 133 971 employees are divided mainly between its construction and public works activities (Bouygues Construction) and its media businesses (TF1 and Bouygues Telecom). No fewer than 5,000 new hires are expected in France for 2011. This includes 1 500 executive positions and 3 500 non-executive positions. Young graduatesôméare also taking part à in this hiring wave: 700 of them à will be joining the Group in France in 2011.  Profiles soughtés: 1 500 managers, including 700 young graduatesômés


Carrefour: 7 000 recruitments in 2011

With over 495 000 employees, including 140 000 in France, the Carrefour group is the world's 7th largest private employeré and the largest in France. A leadership position that the retailer is unlikely to lose in 2011, given the number of new hires plannedé7 000 in France alone. The vast majority of these are non-managerial hires. Only 300 managerial positions are expected to be taken up in 2011. Among them, young graduatesômés will number 150. Profiles soughtés : 300 executives, half of them young graduatesômés


Crédit agricole : 4 000 recruitments in 2011

Crééeated in 1894, the bank for the agricultural world has grown over the years to become one of the worldés largest retail banks. Today, it employs 160,160,000 people worldwide, two-thirds of whom are based in France. In fact, the group is numberéro 1 in France, with 28% of the household goods market. 2011 should see further growth for the group. The Group expects to recruit 4 000 new employees in France.


EADS is a major player in the French market.


EADS: 1 690 new hires in 2011

The European consortium formed by the merger of Germany's Dasa, France's Açrospatiale-Matra and Spain's Casa is now a world-class industrial group. However, EADS has no intention of stopping its growth, and is always on the lookout for new talent to compete with its éeternal rival Boeing. In France, 1 690 new hires are planned, starting with Airbus, which plans to recruit 1 100 employees, Eurocopter, which will hire 265 people and Astrium à up to 250 positions.  Profiles wantedés: 1 100 positions at Airbus


France Telecom : 3 225 recruitments in 2011

With nearly 100è000 employees, Orange is one of France's major employers. For 2011, the group plans to recruit nearly 3,250 employees. Between 700 and 800 new hires are expected to be young graduates (bac+2 & bac+5). 1 500 recruitments, i.e. around 45% of the total, should involve executives and senior managers. Among the positions on offer are salesperson, service technician, business engineer, information systems consultant and network architect. GDF Suez: 12 500 recruitments in 2011

The group formed by the merger of GDF and Suez has established itselfé as a heavyweight in French industryçaise. Today it employs nearly 214,000 people worldwide, with sales of €79.9 billion à in 2009. To continue à to fuel its growth, the group plans to hire nearly 12 500 people for France in 2011. They include 1,650 managers, including nearly 875 young graduates.  Profiles soughtés:  1 650 managers


L'Oréal: 200 recruitments in 2011

With 64 600 employees in 130 countries, the l'Oréal group has successfully developed its brands à notoriété worldwide. To further consolidate its position in the world of cosmetics and beauty products, the French group is planning to recruit around 500 permanent employees in 2011. Young employees will not be outdone, with almost 70% of positions dedicated to them. Interns also contribute to the company's development. 800 internships lasting an average of 6 months will be offered this year.  Profiles soughtés:  70% young graduatesômés


LVMH: 1 500 recruitments in 2011

Louis Vuitton, Moët, Hennessy.... With these flagship brands, the LVMH group has éussi à climbed to the very top of the luxury world's hiérarchy. However, in order to continue à to remain operational in a highly competitive environment, LVMH will continue à to recruit in 2011. A total number of new hires égal à 1 500 CDI for France are thus expected. Part of this recruitment is aimed at managers, who will number é500. Among them, nearly 165 young graduatesômés.Profiles soughtés: 500 managers including 165 young graduatesômés.


Michelin: 1 000 recruitments in 2011

Bibendum is hiring. In 2011, Michelin plans to recruit around a thousand people at its various sites in France. The same trend is expected to continue in 2012. These new hires are mainly intended to àreplace the retirements of the largest âof the 24 000 employeeséof the French tire manufacturer. Of the 1,160,000 new recruits, between 350 and 400 will be managers, two-thirds of whom are expected to be young graduates. Michelin intends to êbe attentive à to diversityé and to promote work-study programs. Côté spécialisation, the functions that will benefit most from these hires are R&D, information systems, marketing, sales, maintenance and supply chain.Profiles wantedés: R&D, IS, marketing, sales, maintenance and supply chain.


Renault: 4 700 recruitments by 2013

The negotiations between management and unions have just à come to an end. After some difficult years for the automotive industry, the figure is éloquent. Renault SAS and its industrial subsidiaries are committed to éalizing 4,700 new hires by 2013. Over a twelve-month period, this represents an average of 1,160,566 new hires, although the actual pace of recruitment will not necessarily be linear over the three-year period. Of the 4 700 people who will join the company over three years, only 2 000 will be on permanent contracts. In fact, the automotive group is giving pride of place à to apprenticeships, as 2 700 young people are expected to join Renault on sandwich courses.Profiles soughtés: 2 700 contracts on sandwich courses


Saint Gobain : 4 500 recruitments in 2011

With more than 190 000 employeesés worldwide, Saint Gobain is an international group in the housing industry. Of these, a quarter are based in France, i.e. just under 50,000 people. For 2011, the Group plans to recruit 4,500 people in France. Of these new recruits, 500 will be managers. The latter will rejuvenate Saint Gobain's workforce, since 70% of them are expected to be graduates. As for the functions concerned by the recruitments, the Group seems to be renewing all its ranks. 35% of future managers will work for technical functions and 40% for sales functions. The remaining 25% will join support functions.Profiles soughtés: 35% managers in technical functions, 40% in sales functions.

 

Société générale: 3 500 recruitments in France

Société générale is a global group: less than halfé of its 160 000 employees work in France. Yet the bank is still hiring massively in France. In 2010, the Group expects to recruit 3 500 new employeeséin France alone. These new hires are expected to be split àroughlyèbetween managerial and non-managerial staff. Similarly, 50% of new recruits should êbe young people fresh out of training, with the other halfécomprising more seasoned professionals.  Profiles soughtés: 50% executives and 50% young graduatesômés.

 

STMicroelectronics: 620 recruitments in 2011

With business basedéon semiconductor production, it's hardly ésurprising that technological profiles are takenéat STMicroelectronics. Design, technical marketing and engineering are among the top priorities. Até the 190 opérators and technicians to be êrecruited in 2011, STMicroelectronics plans to hire 85 ingénieurs and executives as well as a few hundred thésards. If we add apprentices, we end up with à 620 recruitments planned for the yearée, half of them young graduatesémés. The historical sites of Crolles and Grenoble, in the Isère region, will account for most of these new hires (over 60%). The other recruits will join the sites in Rousset, in the Bouches-du-Rhône, and Tours, in Indre-et-Loire.Profiles soughtés: operators and technicians, engineers and managers, thésards...


Total: 6 000 recruitments in 2011

In France, Total présees 1 500 permanent hires in 2011. The oil group also expects to hire 4 300 people on fixed-term contracts, 1 000 people on work-study contracts and 100 VIEs. Of the permanent hires, 500 will be management staff. Given the Groupés activity, 60% of them have scientific backgrounds: engineers, drilling engineers and refinery consolidators. The remaining 40% will work in support functions (finance, marketing, HR, etc.). Finally, Total is giving young people a chance, since, according to forecasts, 65% of managers hired in 2011 will have less than 5éyearséexperience.Profiles soughté 60% scientists and 40% support functions.


Vinci: 4 000 recruitments in 2011

The Vinci Group has established itself as one of the worldés leading construction companies. In 2010, the group employed no less than 190 000 employeeséworldwide. Of these, more than 100 000 worked in France. As a major employer, Vinci is a heavyweight in the recruitment market. In 2011, Vinci aims to recruit around 4,160,000 employees in France. Of these, the majority will be non-managerial staff, with 800 or 20%, of the total being managerial staff. Of these, around 40% should êbe young graduatesémés.  Profiles soughtés: 800 managers
