Workplace stress prevention: How is your company doing?
Xavier DARCOS, Ministre du Travail, des Relations sociales, de la Famille, de la Solidarité et de la Ville publishedé this morning on the website « travailler-mieux.gouv.fr » l’éétat d’avancement de la prévention du stress professionnel pour près de 1 500 entreprises de plus de 1 000 salariésés. This publication takes the form of a listing in three categories (green, orange and red), indicating the degree of progress made by companies in implementing a policy of occupational stress prevention.
This ranking is part of the emergency plan presented by the Minister to the Conseil d’Orientation sur les Conditions de Travail on October 9, 2009.
Of the 900 companies that have respondedépondu :
- 33% (ranked in green) have already signed a substantive or procedural agreement, as well as those that have launched a concerted action plan involving trade unions and/or employee representatives.

- 33% (ranked in green) have already signed a substantive or procedural agreement involving trade unions and/or employee representatives.
- More than one company in two (55%) said they had engagedéin one or more meetings to negotiate a substantive or procedural agreement without signing, or had engagedéin discussions with employee representatives on a shared diagnosis projectéand/or an action plan. These companies are classified in orange and are expected to move into green over the coming months as they complete their negotiation work.
- 600 companies didnét respond and are therefore classifiedéin red, à like the 12% of companies that didnét respond négatively to the ministryès questionnaire or didnét provide any élément enabling a commitment to négociation or action on stress to be noted.
Through this ranking, Xavier DARCOS intends to reiterate his determination éto fight against stress in the workplace, which he has made one of the three axes of the Second Plan de Santé au travail, by highlighting companies that have made particular progress éin this direction. He considers that these initial, encouraging results should encourage more companies to implement the July 2008 national interprofessional agreement on stress at work, and will reiterate them in his communication on stress prevention to the social partners at the Conseil d’Orientation sur les Conditions de Travail meeting on February 24.

The action plan covers several of the indicators listed in the Ministry's questionnaire, and its implementation begané à on the date of publication of the list.

Companies classifiedées RED:
This list includes companies that have responded négatively to the ministryès questionnaire and have not provided éany élément allowing a commitment of négociation ou d’action sur le stress ainsi que toutes les entreprises qui n’ont pas demandedé de mot de passe pour répondrer au questionnaire ou n'ont pas validatedé celui-ci.
This classification records the éléments brought à to the knowledge of the Ministère du Travail, des Relations sociales, de la Famille, de la Solidarité et de la Ville.
