STORE MANAGER: A true conductor

A man or woman in the field, the store manager ensures that his or her storeés strategy, concept and human values are implemented for customers and employees alike.
Store manager profile
Generally from a higheréeducation accompaniedéby at least 5 yearséof proven management experience as a Department Manager, Store Sector Manager, in an equivalent sector, and a legitimate authority in his/her field of activityés.
He or she is responsible for the performance of éteams ranging from 10 à 300 people depending on the brand, and manages èbetween 5 and 100 M€ excluding VAT and between 0.5 and 10 M€ in results.
External recruitment is always based on equivalent éexperience and skills. Internal promotion to these positions is privilegedégiée, due to the knowledge nécessary of the company for the proper performance of its mission.
His management by exampleé
The store manager represents the companyés strategy to his or her Executive Committee and gives meaning to national guidelines. He (she) draws up the store project and leads the Management Committee in its implementation by the éteams. He (she) creates a climate of trust and permanent échange within all éstore teams. He/she coordinates employee representative bodies and participates in the development of social dialogue. He (she) is responsible for compliance with the rules and procédures within my store (hygiène & sécurité, démarque, labor law…), develops the competence and performance of each employee in his équipe : Recruitment, training and évolution of its employees.
He (she) dévelops the productivityé of the store, the ’employabilityé of employees by promoting the versatility of the équipes.
In terms of human resources, he (she) is responsible for the development of his (her) équipe: human indicators are numerous: the rate of promotion and réalization of development interviews, the édevelopment and réalization rate of the store's integration and training plan, the écontinuous improvement of HR policies : productivityé turnover, absenteeisméand workplace accident rates, employment rates (Disabled Workersés, Alternants, Women…).
His missions and objectives
His (her) main mission is to work on the development of the store's opportunitiesés for growth and attractivenessé in its catchment area, guaranteeing customers an innovative, facilitating and compétitive store. He (she) guarantees the commercial dynamics, the power of self-service and the staging of the product offer within my store to arouse desire and séduire the customer. He/she is responsible for managing and coordinating the store operating account in order to mobilize all store teams to achieve results. He/she ensures the implementation of actions within the éteams to control store inventories. He/she monitors émarket trends éand ensures the storeés competitive intelligence in its catchment area. He (she) builds and maintains a local relational network with all institutional contacts.
