Job creation and lower unemployment
At the end of 2021, Insee forecast the creation of around 80,000 jobs in the first half of 2022. This is confirmed by Indeed France, which notes not only an increase in the volume of offers in March 2022 (+5.8% compared to January 2022), but also a volume of job offers at + 35.5% compared to its pre-pandemic level, in February 2020. In parallel, INSEE forecasts a continuation of thedecrease in the unemployment rate, with 7.6% in the second quarter of 2022. In addition to these cyclical factors, there is the fact that many sectors are recruiting.
The main sectors providing jobs
|
Transport-logistics
Drivers, forklift operators, stock managers are also highly coveted for moving materials and goods. With the explosion of e-commerce, consumption patterns have changed and requests for home delivery have become commonplace. Aso, in 2021, online sales grew by 15.1%.
Industry
The sector is also planning to recruit more:69% of companies surveyed expect to hire more in 2022 than in 2021. Maintenance technicians, technical sales staff, design engineers, welders, pipe fitters, production operators... are among the profiles in demand, but, already, recruitment difficulties are envisaged for skilled workers and supervisors.

Informatics and digital
Engineers, IT managers and executives, content managers, developers... IT and IT-related professions are highly sought-after, due to increased digitization and the rise of teleworking, but also because of the development of data and artificial intelligence.
Health
Caregivers, nurses, doctors... are among the jobs in tension, put to the test during the pandemic. Additional means have been granted by the State, deemed insufficient, but the sector is also recruiting to fill the many retirements to come.
Human servicesAgent de propreté, aide à domicile, auxiliaire de vie, garde d'enfant... Theneeds of the sector have also exploded, both due to the health context, but also to the aging population.

The hotel and catering industry
The multi-skilled catering staff, waiters, cooks... are among the most sought-after profiles, especially since the lifting of health restrictions. But the sector still lacks attractiveness, with staggered working hours and salaries that aren't always up to scratch.
Hiring difficulties persist
Despite numeroushiring intentions, companies expect to encounter recruitment difficulties. There are a number of reasons for this, including the simultaneity of requirements, the increased demands of applicants, the mismatch between training and company needs...
However, there are ways to stand out from the crowd:
A question of attractiveness
To attract candidates, some companies will have to rely on the attractiveness of their brand employer, but also on the optimization of working conditions, flexible working hours, or even the hiring salary.
-
Welcome and train more apprentices
If training courses aren't suitable, there's nothing likehosting apprentices and training them training yourself for the position in question. Plus, when you're hiring, you'll already know who you're dealing with.
-
Importance of onboarding
To reduce recruitment-related difficulties, and retain their new recruits, companies still have efforts to make when it comes to onboarding. Indeed, the more new employees are supported during their integration, the more their engagement and motivation will endure.
