Employment of disabled persons: Additional deadline for SMEs
In a letter dated January 29, the government announced its decision to grant companies with fewer than 50 employees a grace period until June 30;June, to companies with fewer than 50 employeeséfor the entry into force of the financial surcharge applicable in the absence of measures for the employment of the disabledés. Laurent Wauquiez and Nadine Morano justify this 6 month reprieve by « the exceptional économic context » and the « difficultés spécifiques » of SMEs. Bad élèves that meet their obligations by June 30 will be exemptéfrom the overcontribution. The two Secretaries of State point out that these obligations are not exorbitant: the employment of a disabled personé on a permanent contract, fixed-term contract, temporary or temporary assignment, or the conclusion of a contract with an adapted company, or a company agreement. In the absence of employment of 6 % of disabled workersés, the pénalité of latecomers will be limited à 3,500 euros per missing job. Those who persist à in doing nothing beyond à June 30 will pay 13,000 euros.
