March 2011 job barometer: +28%!

The "Keljob" Employment Barometer has just been released and déjà, the information we were giving you from January on the job recovery in France is confirmed.


In March 2011, the employment marketéfêcelebrates 1 year of growth. For the past 1 year, the Keljob barometerèhas seen positive évolutions every month. March 2011 also saw éan increase of 28%*. Thibaut Gemignani, Keljob's Managing Director, comments on the March Keljob barometer: èthe growth in the job market over the past year, with +28%* in March, confirms the market's recovery. These figures are further supported by a évolution éalso positive of 17%* between February and March 2011. The job marketéis thus gradually approaching its pre-crisis level. »

Specifically noteworthy is a very ès handsome évolution in the Commerce/Distribution sector, which increased by 28%* and thus enabled it to move up to 3rd position in the ranking of sectors seeking the most new employees in March 2011. Another figure à to remember éis that of the Consulting sector, which saw the strongest évolution in March, taking +85%*. Among the sectors at risk, we note in particular the 18%* drop in the Public sector, which had already égrown by 11%* in February. This is éalso the case for the Business Services sector, which went from a 6%* increase in février à to a 22%* drop this month.


The shift in regions, which éwas quite disparate last février, is confirmed in March. In particular, the French overseas departments and territories recorded a spectacular 178% increase*. On the other hand, the southern regions (East and West) posted declines of 3%*.

    A special focus is à brought to the évolutions of sectors since the beginning of the crisis, whereù we note that the Healthé/Social sector is doing particularly well and has recordedé since the beginning of the crisis in September 2008, an increase of 339%. The worst-performing sectoré IT/télécoms is à lagging behind, with a timid +1%.

    Méthodology
    Créé in January 2003, the Keljob barometer is an indicator of theééevolution of the Internet job market. Basedé on a monthly analysis of nearly 80 sites, it lists offers from a wide panel covering all areas of recruitment. Now in its 8th year of existence, the Keljob barometerèprovides a real-time analysis of e-recruitment trends in France. It is a monthly survey carried out on a panel of nearly 80 websites specializing in e-recruitment. Index 100 refers to the number of job offers in January 2003. In September 2008, the methodology of the barométre évolue légèrement and enriches its sources of analysis.

    temporary sites, 6 recruitment agency sites and 4 internship sites;
