"Atouts Cadres": a new APEC initiative
Figures of the month.....
After two consecutive months of decline (-14400 in July and -8600 in June), the number of jobseekers in catégorie A (positive acts of seeking employment, unemployed) increasedé in August (+ 15900), to 2 692 500 applicants in métropole. According to the latest official statistics (DARES indicator N°061, Sept 2010, available at www.emploigouv.fr.), itîs up 0.6% in 1 month and 4.9% in 1 year.
All categories included, the number of registered à Pôle emploi increasedé by 0.3% in August, reaching 4588100 and by 9.6% in 1 year. The trend is not a good one, whatever the profile of the unemployed.
The number of young people on the job market has risen to
The number of young people thus increasedé by 0.3% in 1 month (but -2.5% over 1 year), as did that of the over-50s (+1% in August, 16.6% over 1 year). The situation of the longéterm unemployed also édétériorée : the number of registrations rose éby 0.5% compared à to July and, more importantly, 26.7% over 1 year...
It is against this backdrop that the Pôle Emploi via APEC has décidé, début September to set up a new scheme « Atouts Cadres » for executives registered as jobseekers living in Paris or Lyon....
The scheme:
This device is organizedé in 3 phases, réparts over 40 modules with personalized follow-upé by a consultant.
- The first phase, (lasting eight weeks), is dedicated to à enhancing the skills of managers in the space of six interviews. In addition to advice, executives benefit from Novapec. It's an interactive site that optimizes the tools and energizes the actions of job-hunting executives through thematic workshops, chats, échanges, bloggs, with experts. This set of modules (method sheets, articles, videoséos…) provides answers for each éstep of the job search. At the end of this professional and personal assessment, an action plan is validatedé during an interview closing this first phase.
- The second phase, lasting seven à eight months, aims to implement a job search strategy agreed with the consultant. The executives still benefit from Novapec, and take part successively in à group job-search energizing sessions, as well as à individual interviews.
- The third phase consists of support à when taking up a new position, before starting work and during the first three months of the new job.
The successès of this scheme is mainly basedé on the pace and sustained commitment of the executives, who appear to be one of the main levers of success with the tools and advice provided à by Apec. However, you need to be totally available to take part in this fast-paced program (1 à 2 interviews per week). The aim is to devote yourself totally à to your job search, in order to find a position as quickly as possible...
