After a particularly difficult year, the 2nd quarter of 2010 brought the first signs of an upturn since the beginning of the crisis: the stabilization of unemployment and the steady rebound in managerial employment point to a recovery in economic activity. To meet the needs of the job market and anticipate the economic recovery, Pôle emploi Rhône-Alpes is organizing "1 Semaine pour 1 Emploi", the region's employment event. From October 18 to 22, « 1 Semaine pour 1 Emploi » will be the privileged rendez-vouségié for jobseekers, companies, as well as the main institutional players in the région.
Supporting and developing employment in the région is one of the key thrusts of the Péle emploi Rhône-Alpes strategy. Each year, 1 Semaine pour 1 Emploi » confirms Pôle emploiés determination to be a privileged contact for jobseekers and companies. All the employment centers have joined forces to organize this événement, which this year will feature:
- 100 events throughout the région
- Nearly 10,000 job offers, broughtées by the 1,800 companies present

The Labour Needs Survey published by Pôle emploi in 2010 lists nearly 179,000 recruitment projects in the region: Service-related occupations, including hotels, restaurants and catering (in the lead with 17% of total hiring intentions), tourism, trade and agriculture are in high demand. Maintenance workers, salaried farmerséand multi-skilled kitchen staff are also among the most buoyant sectors.
Several of these sectors are in high demand.
Many of these sectors will be highlighted during « 1 Semaine pour 1 Emploi ». This is an opportunity for Pôle emploi Rhône-Alpes to bring together the job offer and the demand, by presenting the regionés most promising sectors to candidates:
- Jobs in the Rhéne-Alpeséne-Alpeséne-Alpeséne-Alpeséne-Alpeséne-Alpeséne-Alpeséne-Alpeséne-Alpeséne-Alpeséne-Alpes.
- The hospitality and tourism sector: Actions are programmed in Savoie, Haute-Savoie and Isère A job dating event for everyone... According to the satisfaction survey conducted last year, jobseekers who participated in à « 1 Semaine pour 1 Emploi » were most appreciative of the direct contact with employers and the genuine recruitment opportunities on offer. Indeed, one of the main aims of the events organizedéis to bring employers and jobseekers into direct contact. Around 2,500 immediate hires were été countedées à at the end of the event, and many more came to fruétées over the weeks. Recruitment forums, information days, workshops, conferences, round-table discussions and company visits, the employment offices in the Rhône-Alpes region have deployed a wide range of events to perfectly meet the requirements of different audiences: men and women of all âges, graduates or not, employeesés, people éloignées of employment. « 1 Semaine pour 1 Emploi » is also an opportunityé for Pôle emploi to continue the fight against discrimination à l’embauche. Particular attention is being paid éto the groups most affected éby unemployment, such as young people, disabled workers és or senior citizens. Join us à Lyon on 22/10 on the theme "Une rencontre, un emploi" with Pôle emploi à Lyon, from 9am à noon and from 1:30pm à 4:30pm Jobseekers will be able to meet 40 companies who have posted their vacancies on the Pôle emploi website and who will be offering direct contact with their future employees.
